If you pass from Siena there are some other landmarks worth visiting or, rather, you will have to visit absolutely.

• To begin with we think the Metropolitan Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta, the Cathedral of the city as well as the main place of Catholic worship in Siena, the building built in Romanesque-Gothic style is located in the square.

• In Piazza del Duomo is also the Santa Maria della Scala, the famous museum complex located right in front of the cathedral which was once one of the oldest and largest hospitals in Europe and one of the first xenodochi and which today has been transformed into one of the most important museums and cultural centers of the city. It hosts a series of collections ranging from ancient to modern times.

• How not to visit Piazza del Campo, the main square of the city and has a very special shell shape that makes it unique in its kind. Renowned worldwide for its beauty and architectural integrity, as well as for being the place where twice a year takes place the famous Palio of Siena.

• Finally, on the Piazza del Campo stands the Public Palace, also known as Town Hall. Built between 1297 and 1310 by the Government of the Nine of the Republic of Siena, as their headquarters, besides being the Municipal Administration also houses the Civic Museum and is flanked by the famous Torre del Mangia. Inside you can see some of the best decorations of Sienese period and the famous "The Allegory of Good and Bad Government" by Ambrogio Lorenzetti.
